January 15, 2010 - InetServices Launches New Cloud Web Site
Natick, Massachusetts - InetServices has launched a brand new website www.inetservicescloud.com. The new site specifically focuses on the company's comprehensive suite of cloud hosting services.
"Since the introduction of our InetServicesCloud offering back in October 2009, we have seem a greater than expected interest in our services," says Kevin Soendker, chief operating officer of InetServices. "Therefore, we decided to provide potential customers with a website that focuses specifically on cloud services. This new website is also a preemptive move for creating InetServicesCloud as a separate division of InetServices targeted for the beginning of the second quarter 2010."
"The new website makes it easy for online visitors to easily scan all the cloud service offerings without getting confused with those for dedicated and managed hosting," Soendker said. "The one thing we have found over the past several months is that most small businesses are still confused in understanding the differences and benefits from dedicated, virtual dedicated, and virtual private servers. We pre-released the InetServicesCloud site over 30 days ago and the feedback as well as orders has exceeded all our expectations."
January 6, 2010 - InetServices Offers 1-Hour Rapid Deploy Servers
Natick, Massachusetts - InetServices today announced it is now offering
1-Hour Rapid Deploy Servers. Unlike the traditional setup time of 6 to 12 hours, these servers will be ready to use within 60 minutes from the time the order is place.
InetServices new rapid deploy servers are currently available in both CentOS and Windows Server 2003 with Windows Server 2008 being available by mid January. Customers can choose from several different server platforms as well as can choose the OS that best meets their needs and provision the server almost instantaneously.
"We are constantly evaluating the latest server technologies to determine what will best meet our customers' needs and support their business goals," said InetServices COO Kevin Soendker. "Amazingly, we found our customers looking for a faster deployment for those unexpected increases in traffic. We always felt that servers should be deployed as soon as possible and now we made it possible to guarantee deployment of servers within 60 minutes."
December 22, 2009 - InetServices Adds Dell's MD3000 and MD3000i
Natick, Massachusetts - InetServices today announced it is now offering both the Dell PowerVault MD3000 direct attached storage array and the MD3000i high-performance iSCSI storage area network array.
InetServices has been offering the Dell PowerVault MD1000 disk storage array for more two years but has found some customers are now looking for the added benefits of the newer MD3000. The MD3000 comes with a powerful storage management interface that can help automatically configure the system for optimal performance. The MD3000 as 15 availablel drive slots for a total storage capacity up to 15TB and two additional MD1000 expansion enclosures can be added for a total of 45TB. InetServices will be offering both the 300GB 15K RPM drives and the new 1TB 7.2K RPM Nearline SAS drives.
The price for the MD1000 starts at $299/mo and the MD3000 starts at $499/mo.
Also reacting to customer demand, InetServices is now offering a dedicated iSCSI SAN with Dell's PowerVault MD3000i network storage array. The MD3000i is ideal for multi-server environments such as our recently announced virtual private data center (private cloud) offering. Using SCSI Ethernet technology, the MD3000i can connect up to 16 hosts using a Gigabit Ethernet switch which eliminates the need to build out a costly fiber channel infrastructure. The MD3000i also has 15 available drive slots and can be expanded with two MD1000 expansion enclosures for up to 45TB of storage capacity.
The price for the MD300i starts at $599/mo.
November 25, 2009 - InetServices Expands Operations with CoreSite Data Center
Natick, Massachusetts - InetServices today announced it has expanded its operations with the opening of its second data center location in the Boston area. The addition of this facility triples the company's total capacity to 6,000 servers.
"Even in this tough economy we have continued to see exceptional growth which has our first data center facility at near full capacity. We choose CoreSite's Boston data center for its data center expansion because it offers everything we demand in a SAS70 Type II certified facility." says Kevin Soendker, chief operating officer of InetServices. "With nearly 125,000 square feet of private data center space and 30 Megawatts of power, we will be able to expand our footprint another 4,000 servers without any issues."
The new facility is expected to be online January 1, 2010 with 1000 servers ready for immediate delivery. Besides the additional footprint the new data center offers an additional 6Gb of bandwidth connectivity will be added.
"This second site will also give us a disaster recovery site for our newly released Cloud hosting services." said Mr. Soendker. "This is the first part of our data center virtualization strategy. Our plans are to expand to a third data center facility located on the west coast by the third quarter of 2010 to allow our customers the ability to purchase dedicated or virtual hosts in different geographical locations."
October 30, 2009 - InetServices Releases Private Cloud Services
Natick, Massachusetts - InetServices today announced the official release of InetServicesCloud Virtual Private Data Center. This is the second core offering in the InetServicesCloud portfolio after the recently release of Virtual Machine Hosting. The Virtual Private Data Center is ideal for SaaS (Software as a Service) providers, Web 2.0 companies, and enterprise application hosting that requires a higher level of security than a public cloud can offer.
InetServicesCloud Virtual Private Data Center is a private cloud built around equipment for a single customer. With this approach you get all the benefits of a public cloud; rapid provisioning, instant scalability, and automated recovery but with the extra security of a dedicated environment. Since none of the underlying physical infrastructure is shared with any other customer, there is no need to worry about the pool of resources for processing power, memory or storage. Customers can choose their private cloud to be based on either VMWare ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization technology and is a heterogeneous environment, supporting both Windows and Linux.
